Join us for an unforgettable evening with renowned celebrity chef Matt Golinski and the Australian Honey Sommelier, Leisa Sams, as they share their expertise and take you on an amazing flavour journey of Queensland through a carefully curated honey-tasting experience, paired with exquisite gourmet small plates and refreshments!

Learn how to taste honey like a connoisseur and explore the nuances of food pairing with expert tips from Matt Golinski, a highly regarded, professional chef with a passion for creating cuisine using fresh, seasonal and local ingredients.

Based on the Sunshine Coast, Matt is a legend in the food industry, having worked as executive chef at some of Queensland’s leading restaurants and founded his own catering company.

He is a true champion of local producers and the Slow Food movement in Australia, and now enjoys working as a consulting executive chef to restaurants, being a regular guest chef at festivals and events and writing his popular food columns and blog.

Leisa Sams is Queensland’s first formally trained Advanced Honey Sensory Analysis Expert, having trained in Italy and the USA, a commercial beekeeper, and is known for celebrating the amazing changing flavours of our region and championing quality honey production in the beekeeping industry in her role on the Australian Standards Committee for ISO/TC 34/SC 19 Bee products.
