The Queensland Beekeepers' Association Inc is excited to announce our 2020 AGM and State Conference will be held at OAKS Oasis Resort, Caloundra, Queensland on the 11th - 12th of June 2020.
In late 2019, a decision was made by the QBA Warwick branch to postpone their 'turn' in hosting the annual QBA event, although this was a difficult decision, the members of the Warwick branch agreed that due to drought continuing to cripple the regional centre, it would be best if the QBA management team took on the job of hosting the 2020 conference.
The Management team from the QBA are currently working to prepare the agenda for our 2020 Conference. We will provide the details in further communication to our members.
In addition to our standard conference, QBA will be coordinating two additional events for the 2020 AGM and Conference. On the Thursday evening we will host a 'trade show evening' where conference delegates will have the opportunity to meet our trade show partners in a more relaxed setting after the daily conference activities. Our trade show partners are exited to take part in our inaugural trade show evening. We hope it provides an opportunity for beekeepers to mingle and learn more about new innovations from beekeeping supply businesses.
On the Friday evening, QBA will again host its annual conference dinner. Tickets for this event will be limited, conference delegates are reminded that tickets for the conference dinner are available to purchase within the conference registration.
Oaks have also organised a 'special' conference accommodation rate for beekeepers planning on staying at the resort both during conference and in the days leading up to conference. Please use the form below to book your accommodation at the resort.
